Greg Kamplain Spoke About Engineering
Careers at Bloom Trail High School
On Friday, October 6th, Greg Kamplain, Project Engineer with Robinson and Illinois Section AWWA member presented on careers in civil engineering to students at Bloom Trail High School, Sauk Village, IL. Greg spoke to Mr. Chris Clausing’s first year and second year Introduction to Engineering students about the five main areas of emphasis for civil engineering - transportation, water resources & environmental, geotechnical, structural, and construction.
Greg took questions from the students during the presentation on what a typical day is for him and what has been the most important project he has worked on in the last year. Greg’s background is in Water Resources, and he went into more detail on potable water treatment, storage, and delivery. Greg highlighted several projects that he has been involved in the 17 years he has been with Robinson and went into further detail about other Water Career Opportunities.
